How do I register for Vox?
Question
Answer
Great! You want to join Vox, and we want you here!
When you join Vox, you become a member of the Vox community. You receive your own personal blog site, with the ability to participate in a neighborhood and comment on sites, among all of the great
Getting Started
To join Vox, you need to fill out our registration form. The registration screen will ask for some basic information about you before creating your account like your email address and birthday. Your email address is needed so that we can verify your email address is a valid one. Also, it allows you to use our automated password retrieval system in the event that you ever forget or lose your password in the future. Your email address will not be shared or sold.
Note: Keep in mind that every email address can only support one Vox account. If you wish to sign up for another account with us, you must use a new email address.
Because people under 13 years of age are prohibited from using Vox, we have to ask for your birthday, but you always have the choice of whether or not you want to share your birthday on your profile for others to see. Please make sure you put the date of your birth in the birthday field rather than the date you started blogging or another significant date in your life.
Another important area on the first registration screen is the password text box. Your password for your Vox account should be between 6 and 15 characters and cannot contain spaces. You'll also choose a member name, which is the name that will be shown on your blog and on the comments you leave on other Vox blogs.
Links to the Vox Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are provided at the bottom of the registration screen. Please read both of those documents! Clicking Sign Up to register for Vox is your acknowledgment that you've read and agree with that information.
Starting Your Profile
Once you've submitted that information, you'll see a page where you can enter the confirmation code that will be sent to the email address you provided. The confirmation code and a link to the confirmation screen will be in an email sent from vox@sixapart.com. If you have any spam filters, you may want to check your junk or spam folder in case the email is placed there automatically.
On that page, you can also start creating your profile by doing things like choosing your
You can also choose to skip this page, but you won't be able to sign in to Vox until you've entered your confirmation code. If you're experiencing problems with registration such as not receiving your confirmation code, check out
